Internal Server Error with Administer Site/Users and Roles function

I set up Sync Endpoint at Digital Ocean following instructions. I created an LDAP admin user (gidNumber=500). I

I logged in the web-ui with that account, when I use the menu Administer Sites/User and Roles, I received an error:

“There was an unexpected error (type=Internal Server Error, status=500).
Please contact the operator with the above information.”

Please help me!!!

the gidNumber in the user refers to the user’s “default group” which is used when creating rows. The actual permission are granted by adding the memberId to the group.

By memberID of the user, do you mean uidNumber?
Because I do not find any property of the user named as “memberID”.

Please refer to the documentation. There are screenshots that show “memberUID” I forgot the ‘u’ but the directions are clear:

Thanks for your prompt response.
Even though I added the UID of user cdanso to the admin group (500), I still get the “Internal Server Error” with Administer Site/Users and Roles
Am I doing something wrong?

I don’t think you should have 1001 as it should be the cn. You can click on modify group members and get a user interface to clean it up.

Also as stated here: Problems with login in to ODK-X Server web-ui. Incorrect username or password - #62 by W_Brunette

You might need to restart the server (or bring the stack up and down).
